Step 01
Quarry & select
We quarry our own natural stone and choose a piece whose size, shape, color, and surface suit the wording and intended setting.
How it works
You bring the name, saying, memory, or idea. We guide it through stone selection, design, sandblasting, and finishing—one piece at a time in Bath, New York.

The complete process
You do not need finished artwork or technical knowledge. Tell us what the stone should say, where it will be placed, and what feeling you want it to carry. We will help determine what fits comfortably and reads clearly.
Behind that simple ordering experience is a careful workshop process. Every design is adjusted to the individual stone before the engraving begins.
Inside the workshop
These six stages will become a visual tour when your quarry, shaping, and sandblasting photographs are added.

Step 01
We quarry our own natural stone and choose a piece whose size, shape, color, and surface suit the wording and intended setting.

Step 02
The stone is shaped and its face is prepared while keeping the natural edges and character that make the piece one of a kind.

Step 03
We arrange the wording, dates, and artwork to fit the actual proportions of the selected stone—not a generic manufactured blank.

Step 04
The design is transferred to a durable stencil, then sandblasted into the stone to create permanent depth and definition.

Step 05
The engraved areas are paint-filled when the design calls for it, then cleaned and finished by hand.

Step 06
We inspect the wording, finish, and overall presentation before preparing the completed stone for pickup or approved shipping.

Why the process matters
Natural stone is not perfectly uniform—and that is exactly the point. Its edge, texture, shape, and color guide the layout, helping every finished piece feel like it belongs in its setting.
